Join The Gleaning Network of Texas for their biggest event of the year: the 2010 Sweet Potato Round-Up! Come out and help them "glean" sweet potatoes for those throughout Texas who do not always have access to fresh produce. Their wonderful network brings growers, volunteers, and service agencies together to provide fresh fruits and vegetables left in the fields after harvest for the hungry. With all the excess produce left in these fields, Texans could feed all the hungry people in our state.The event will take place somewhere between Emory and Mineola, Texas in late-October. The field location will be announced closer to the actual event. Can anyone say Road Trip?
