Crow Collection After Dark: Taste of Asia

Friday, August 20

Admission to Crow Collection After Dark is free.
Purchase food tickets on-site for $5.
No reservations required.

Take a fun-filled culinary tour of Asia! Sample food and beverages from across Asia while enjoying performances in the galleries, tours, and more. Kids can create origami sushi and become candy sushi chefs!

Sushi Origami 6–8pm
Create your own sushi sampler using the traditional Japanese art of origami. Supplies limited.

Candy Sushi 6-8pm
Little sushi chefs welcome! Make and taste candy versions of classic sushi such as nigiri and maki rolls complete with chocolate “soy sauce”! Supplies limited.

Taste of Asia Food Sampling* 6-8pm
Enjoy a taste of Asia! Sample delicious treats from India, China, and Taiwan.
A Taste of India - Samosa, nan & hummus sampler from Cosmic Café of Dallas
A Taste of China - Cheese, pork, & crab wonton sampler from Royal China of Dallas
A Taste of Taiwan - 16-oz bubble tea from Fruitealicious Bubble Tea of Carrollton
*Taste of Asia food ticket is $5 and includes one sample from each region.

Performance in the Galleries (Jade Room):
6 PM - Harpist Anita Hu performs classical Chinese selections.
8 PM - Enjoy classical Indian music performed by Tom Griffin.

Feast of the Gods Tour 9 PM - Meet at Visitors Services Desk
Join Kristina Hilliard, Manager of Learning Partnerships, to learn about the traditional ceremonial and celebratory foods of Asia.

Karaoke with DJ Mark Ridlen 10 – 11:30 PM
Join DJ Mark Ridlen for a multimedia karaoke experience while sampling complimentary beers from across Asia.

Located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, The Crow Collection is a permanent set of galleries dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. The museum offers a serene setting for quiet reflection and learning.
