The Limelight: Turtle Creek Recovery Center

The Turtle Creek Recovery Center was founded in 1968. It is the only residential program in North Texas that is dedicated to serving both men and women who suffer from both alcohol or drug addiction and severe mental illness. This combination of illnesses is often life-threatening and traumatic. Most Turtle Creek Recovery Center clients are unemployed and 70% are homeless when admitted. The center stands to provide clients with care and a plan for long-term ability and stabilization so that they may secure employment, housing, psychiatric stability, and sobriety.

The Turtle Creek Recovery Center's stylish annual fundraising event nears. On August 28th, Simply Summer Simply Shoes will be held at 7 Senses with co-chairs Jennifer Lott Smit, Kim Lewis-Gleason, and Kristen Lippe.
