American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has a fantastic chapter in our area. They change lives with their disaster relief and recovery efforts. For nearly 100 years, the Dallas Area Chapter has been showing up where needed. Each year, the respond to more than 600 disasters across 12 North Texas counties. Most of these are single-family and apartment home fires but others are floods, tornadoes and the rare ice storm and snow fall that we had last week. This disaster assistance is provided free of charge to those who need it thanks to the generous donations many supports make to the American Red Cross. Their delivery trucks carry things from shoes, T-shirts, sweat pants and sweat shirts to clothe those who flee with nothing to Coffee, hot chocolate, gatorade and snacks to nourish the body. If you are interested in learning more please join the Red Cross for a Touching Lives Tour. During these one-hour sessions, you will experience a heartfelt tour of their building and hear inspiring stories and fact about the American Red Cross.
